Fountain Residential’s Brent Little was quoted in this month’s Texas Real Estate Business journal (April 2015 Volume 11 Issue 2)
“The UNT development started as seven different parcels of land,” explains Little. “To put them together and get them close to campus, you have to do some work.”
Student demand to be closer to campus, along with a lack of available land, leads to denser developments, which usually also includes parking garages.
“About 75 percent of our projects now include structured parking, which ranges from four to seven stories,” says Little. “We are seeing that only 60 to 75 percent of students are bringing cars with them because we build walk-to-campus locations.”
