Denton, Texas — Fountain Residential Partners and Commodore Student Housing, in a venture with Crosswind Development Partners, have begun construction on 33 North, a 427-bed property adjacent to the Greek area of the University of North Texas. Grand Campus Living will manage the property.
Packed with amenities — including a study room, modern cardio theater fitness center, onsite leasing office, an infinity pool, outdoor entertainment deck and an urban-style clubhouse — the apartments are being billed as “the most luxurious student housing in the Denton Market.”
Indoors, residents can expect granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a furniture package that includes 50-inch flatscreen TVs in the living area.
“A walk-to-class location in the heart of the Greek housing area will help propel 33 North to be the premier student housing community for a school seeking Tier 1 status and a student body that expects to increase to 45,000 students over the coming years,” says Brent Little, president of Fountain Residential Partners.
33 North will begin leasing soon for the fall 2013 semester.
Fountain has several other projects either under construction, set to begin construction or under contract including two near Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas; a 309-bed complex in Corvalllis, Oregon, near Oregon State University; and three properties under contract in Minneapolis near the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; Sacramento State University; and The University of Houston. Each are high-density, walk-to-campus student housing developments.
