Fort Worth, Texas — Inland American Communities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inland American Real Estate Trust, has acquired a property one block south of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. The property was developed by Fountain Residential Partners. It will be rebranded as a University House community.
The four-story, mid-rise property contains 118 beds and numerous amenities. The property also includes 6,000 square feet of retail space that is currently under construction and is projected to open in spring 2013. The residential part of The VUE opened to students in August 2012 at 100 percent occupancy.
Jaclyn Fitts of CBRE’s National Student Housing Group represented the seller in the transaction.
